Training
I conduct AI trainings for nonprofit cultural, educational, and counselling organizations. In-person and online training sessions for other target groups are also available.
Training Courses
INFORMED AND RESPONSIBLE USE OF AI
How can I use AI for creative ideas and expressive texts, images and sounds? How can I use it to improve work routines? What are the risks of using AI and how can we address them?
This training course provides an overview of how generative AI works and its practical applications. It also examines ethical and legal issues as well as strategies for the non-discriminatory use of AI tools.
Module_1___AI-Basics
How does (generative) artificial intelligence work? What tools are available for research, text and image generation, and how can they be usefully integrated in everyday work? What guidelines are there for responsible and safe use of AI? The introductory module clarifies terms and modes of operation and offers practical insights into AI tools and their possible uses.
Module_2___The art of prompting
Artificial intelligence is only as good as the content it is fed with. This applies to training data as well as to prompts, which we use to instruct AI to perform certain tasks. How do we write good prompts to get useful answers? How can we communicate creatively with AI tools? How do we create customised chatbots for our individual purposes? The module introduces structured and creative prompting and offers space for practical experimentation.
Module_3___Artificial image and audio worlds
AI tools such as Nano Banana, Veo, Firefly and Midjourney generate a wide variety of images and videos via simple text input. Tools such as ElevenLabs and NotebookLM clone deceptively real voices and produce professional podcasts. What opportunities do these applications offer for our work? What risks do they pose for opinion making and media trust? The module provides an overview of the most important applications, discusses ethical and legal challenges, and offers the opportunity to try out some of the tools.
Module_4___AI and disinformation
Disinformation is not a new phenomenon. But with the help of generative AI, it can be produced and disseminated on an even larger scale at low cost. How do bots and deep fakes influence opinion making? What promising counterstrategies are there? How can AI-generated content and disinformation be detected? This module highlights the role of AI in disinformation campaigns and shows ways to effectively counter deliberately disseminated misinformation.
